It was Saturday morning and I was awaken by a text message from a friend asking if I had seen what had happened in Nepal. I immediately typed Nepal into my search and returned hit after hit of images of devastation. For weeks I had known I was meant to go to Nepal this summer on a mission trip, but to be honest I wasn't really sure why Nepal.
See my passion as it relates to causes is fighting for women and children who are victims of sexual abuse and trafficking. Nepal was not going to specifically work with this problem. I had reasoned in my mind that this issue is prevalent all over the world and poverty is a breading ground for all types of abuse.
Well, that Saturday morning, God spoke very clearly as to why He wanted me to travel to Nepal this summer. I now feel it a very special honor to be able to go and help the people of Nepal during this time when they need it most. Please keep the team in your prayers as this trip now has new challenges and opportunities. Please pray for the people of Nepal.
